First Look At The Air Jordan 9 “Space Jam”

After being confirmed for a return late last year, the Air Jordan 9 “Space Jam” has finally emerged via a detailed first look ahead of its Fall 2026 return. Also known as the “True Red” colorway, the upcoming release marks the first time the sneaker has returned since 2016 and the sixth overall retail launch for one of the most unique Air Jordan 9 colorways ever created.

While the model itself carries an important place in Air Jordan history as the shoe released during Michael Jordan’s first retirement from basketball, this specific black, white, and red colorway earned additional notoriety thanks to its connection to Space Jam. Although the iconic black-and-royal Air Jordan 11 “Space Jam” is most commonly associated with the film, Jordan was also seen wearing this Air Jordan 9 during various scenes and promotional moments tied to the movie, helping cement its place within sneaker culture lore.

The newly revealed images showcase the return of the sneaker’s familiar white leather upper and black overlays, although its worth noting that the “glitter” isn’t shown anywhere.
