JJJJound has another New Balance 1890 collaboration on the way. The label known for its minimalist aesthetic will drop its subtle take on one of New Balance’s newest hybrid lifestyle silos.
The new JJJJound x New Balance 1890 will reportedly come in two colorways. Sneak peeks have surfaced online of a “Black/White” pair, and a lighter take on the model, dropping as part of Spring/Summer 2026. It features a white base with grey overlays, and integrates tiny yellow accents into the signature “N” branding.
The second colorway stays firmly planted in JJJJound territory. Foregoing loud contrast, the Montreal based studio utilize muted grey panels, white mesh, and small pops of yellow to add just enough dynamism to the shoe. The execution is more refined than showy, something that normally works best with JJJJound’s NB projects.
New Balance already has some heavy steamrolling going on with the 1890. Action Bronson, Joe Freshgoods and Stone Island have all been connected to the silhouette, giving it a hefty dose of collab love before it even becomes recognizable to casual sneaker consumers.
There is currently no release date for the JJJJound x New Balance 1890. Now that the preview images have dropped, expect more photos, a price, and a release details as New Balance continues to prepare for the debut.
