Nike’ s lead up to the 2026 FIFA World Cup is beginning to unfold and Slawn is now involved in the early stages. Slawn, who was born in Nigeria, is teaming up with Nike Football on a limited edition Nike Cryoshot pack connected to Nigeria’s Super Eagles and the Bravehearts Ladies Foundation.
The Slawn x Nike Cryoshot sports a white base layered with black graffiti-inspired artwork reminiscent of the hand-drawn roughness present throughout Slawn’ s pieces. From this design approach, the football inspired silhouette achieves a lifestyle-ready aesthetic while staying true to its sporty origins.
Nike’s Cryoshot model takes inspiration from the Mercurial 98 boot that actually has history in Nike’s football past. Nike’s first Made in Italy football boot was the Mercurial 98 and this reissue pays homage to that fact with a translucent sole unit.
Nike has been assigning collaborators with their countries of origin during its World Cup build-up. Palace has been affiliated with England. Patta has represented the Netherlands. Slawn’s project now slides Nigeria into that ever-growing list with a capsule that meshes tribal football pride, street culture and conscious community ethos.
This capsule collection won’t be limited to shoes, either. Nike and Slawn will also release apparel items such as shirts, sweats and jackets. Each apparel piece will benefit the Bravehearts Ladies Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to assisting young female athletes throughout Sub-Saharan Africa.
