Ronnie Fieg remains busy as ever. In a rare move, his usual slate of store openings, celebrity photoshoots, and rooting on the hometown Knicks cleared out for a behind-the-scenes look at where the KITH empire stands in 2026.
Complex Style got the chance to pick the NYer’s brain on public feedback, following the footsteps of fashion legends, and everything in between. In turn, that feature gives us the chance to preview what the storied KITH x New Balance partnership has in store: the New Balance 2011 is looking like their next major move.
Fieg is depicted handling two sample colorways of an unreleased collab, but moreover, of an unreleased silhouette entirely. To our eye, it appears that the upper from the archival New Balance 2000 model is paired with the original sole unit from the New Balance 2002 proper, already back in rotation as the foundation of the hybrid 1890. Some liberties are taken with the 2000’s tooling, from new suede materiality to some simplified design notes, but clearly that shoe is a major touchstone for this.
A notch on the heel stamps this as the “2011,” perhaps harkening to KITH’s original founding, and of course, the color stories lean into the refined palettes the imprint has majored in for so long.
Little information about this upcoming collab is available at the time of this writing, but Ronnie Fieg did mention throughout that sit-down that collaborations for the store’s 15th anniversary were in the works. Once we receive concrete word on when to expect this shoe, you’ll hear about it either here or via our Sneaker Release Dates page.
