The muted shade of rose bleeds into every aspect of the upper, coating the pigskin suede overlays and mesh base. It softens the appearance of the shoe somewhat, without watering down what makes a 991v2 a 991v2. The bulky layering of the Made in UK silhouette still shines through here, with open mesh windows and curved suede overlays handling most of the design duties.
Grey accents play a big role in breaking up the pink throughout the laces, eyelets, heel tabs, “N” logos, and rear branding. A white outline is added to the side logos for a pop of contrast that helps define the panels a bit more without going overboard. Of course you also have the “991” badge up top near the heel and “v2” embroidery on the tongue opposite.
Earth toned hues extend to the midsole, which features a creamy blend of white. This helps age the bottom half of the shoe slightly when placed next to the dusty rose upper. Dark navy pods are featured down the sides, with additional black and grey rubber underfoot. New Balance also throws a pair of extra pink laces in the box if you want to sport a more tonal look.
