Mercedes adidas Adiracer GT JQ7028

by thesneakerscroll@gmail.com

The Formula 1 sponsorship world got a major shake-up last year when Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS left PUMA for adidas, ending a 13-year partnership in favor of the former brand’s biggest rival. As such, George Russell and Kimi Antonelli have shelved their PUMAs and now wear models from the Three Stripes racing archive, namely the adidas Adiracer. On top of several high and low-top styles you can buy now through the team’s official website, adidas has minted an all-new version in shimmery “Matte Silver.”

Introduced in the early 2000s, the adidas Ariracer takes after the trending PUMA Speedcat with a slim sole and sleek, aerodynamic aesthetic. Due in no small part to the Speedcat’s meteoric resurgence, adidas re-introduced the OG quilted version of the Adiracer to its mainline in 2024. This “GT” version, however, comes in as a more modern, futuristic re-imagination. Leather panels featuring stitched striped are applied to a textile base, and a new sole featuring carbon fiber accents lands underfoot. This special F1 edition comes with custom teal insoles and a Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS logo on the tongue.

The Mercedes adidas Ariracer GT is available now via the adidas website, priced at $150 in men’s sizes. These appear to be moving quickly, so you’re advised to act now if you’re hoping to secure a pair. See our Where To Buy section below for purchase links.

In other adidas news, Pharrell’s adidas Jellyfish is continuing to surface in new colorways.
