The arrival of Ja Morant’s third signature shoe is just around the corner. First debuting during the early stages of the 2025 NBA Playoffs in the “Max Volume” colorway, the Nike Ja 3 has consistently wowed the crowd with upcoming colorways that tie back to specific moments. In checking off a theme that’s been revisited on every Ja Morant shoe thus far, the model has emerged in a “NY vs NY” style inspired by Nike’s sponsored NYC streetball tournament.
Shown for the first time during a SNKRS Showcase live product preview, the “NY vs NY” Ja 3 is perfectly suited for the concrete jungle with a predominantly black colorway. Quite cleverly, the shoe’s angled Swoosh logo is accompanied by a spray-painted “A” in orange around the heel, thus spelling out “JA” if you use your imagination a bit. Otherwise, the logo for the NY vs NY streeetball tournament appears in light blue on the tongue.
The Nike Ja 3 “NY vs NY” is currently scheduled to release July 22nd, 2025 at Nike Basketball retailers. We’ll update this article as soon as we can get our hands on official images.
