It truly is a stroke of good luck that Jordan Brand has such a catchy on-court moniker to attach to one of their most core color schemes. Certainly there’s no shortage of “Triple Black” in the wider landscape, but MJ’s prowling persona has allowed the Jumpman to really seize the marketing potential of their specific offerings. As the Jordan Trunner family steps back into the fore to capture the sudden trendiness of its era, the Jordan Trunner O/S is the latest to hit on “Black Cat” aesthetics.
As promised by that title, there’s nary a divergence from jet black in this design, constant through the mesh foundation, suede and leather mudguards, the TPU cage, and the layered midsole composition underfoot. As we noted in our coverage of the Jordan Trunner O/S “Infrared,” the few looks we got at the modern formulation before leaned on multicolor fare, but that shoe and the one at hand instead deliver monochromatic fare, setting up two distinct aesthetic flanks as the model nears debut.
Importantly, this is the first variation to surface via official images, as the Jumpman had leveraged their network to debut previous looks. With it becoming increasingly clear that the Trunner will be a staple of the Fall 2025 slate for Jordan Brand, expect this to be just one of many that we catch wind of in the coming weeks.
To that point, the Jordan Trunner O/S “Black Cat” is expected sometime between July and September, clocking in with a $115 retail price. Keep watch over this pair and all of the brand’s upcoming product via our Jordan Releases 2025 landing page.
