Roland and New Balance Numeric are back with another drop of their Tiago Lemos 808 Lite, honoring the legendary TR-808. First introduced in 2024 and sold out quickly, this updated 2025 edition celebrates both skateboarding and electronic music.
Released to coincide with Roland’s annual “808 Day” on August 8, the Numeric Tiago Lemos 808 Lite 2025 edition is all about celebrating Roland’s TR-808 Rhythm Composer. In regards to the color scheme, the overall aesthetic is black, with splashes of orange, red, and yellow details. A combination of suede, mesh, and leather make up the upper. Naturally, the Numeric’s “N” logo is also decked out in all the gradient goodness. Further up the heel, you’ll find an embroidered “Rhythm Composer” tag. A patch will attach to your laces, and this detachable Roland drum machine keychain serves as the pair’s sneakerwood.
Performance-wise, the New Balance Numeric 808 Lite was designed with skating in mind. You get the usual FuelCell cushioning, NDurance outsole rubber, and of course, tips from Tiago himself about durability and how the shoe feels on a board. While the translucent sole is purely stylistic, they kept traction in mind when producing the sole cup.
It’s not often that you get to see music history and skate culture seamlessly come together in a single silhouette like this. On the board or off, this pair is sure to make some noise. With this re-release, it’s clear the 808 legacy still bangs in more ways than one.
The Roland x New Balance Numeric Tiago Lemos 808 Lite releases August 8, 2025 at select skate shops and NewBalance.com for $115 USD.
