Air Jordan Retro September 2025 Preview

by thesneakerscroll@gmail.com

You know that meme from The Simpsons of a kid shouting “stop, stop! it’s already dead!”? That quite accurately reflects the state of our wallets after the last few months of Jordan releases. The Jumpman has been firing in heater after heater this summer, including key collabs like the UNDEFEATED 4s and AWAKE 5s on top of ample retros and all-new styles alike. As we collectively prepare to shift into autumn, September 2025 is looking no different.

There’s only one collaboration releasing in September, but it’s a big one. The Travis Scott x Fragment Design x Air Jordan 1 Low OG, first gazed upon all the way back in 2022, is finally dropping toward the middle of the month. Two key Jordan 5 retros in the “Fire Red” and “Tokyo T23” keep that model’s 35th anniversary momentum going, while new styles like the “Cave Stone” 4s and “Mexico” 3s have potential to be future classics.

As always, we’ve compiled every big September Jordan release below for your convenience and viewing please. Keep scrolling for images, purchase links, and brief snippets about each sneaker.

With football season underway, Jordan Brand is bringing “White Cement” makeup to the Jordan 4 TD cleat. A baseball version releases earlier this year, as of course did a proper Jordan 4 “White Cement” retro. Look for these at Nike and DICK’S on September 4th.

The Jordan 4 “Cave Stone” isn’t a Travis Scott shoe, but it’s got that sort of vibe to it. A contemporary brown nubuck upper is paired with black hits on the flaps, netting… you get the gist. What’s unusual is that the sneaker features “Nike Air” on the back, which is historically uncommon on non-OG Jordan 4s.

For ladies and little ones, Jordan Brand is releasing a “Baroque Brown” Jordan 1 High on September 9th. OG-adjacent “Kentucky” color blocking sums up the sneaker itself, but it’s the extras – a set of plush charms – that make the delivery stand out. Women’s, PS, and TD sizes will be available through SNKRS and retailers.

For the first time since 2013, the Air Jordan 5 “Fire Red” is getting a proper retro release. Not only does the 2025 edition do right by the OG with a black tongue – it’s got “Nike Air” on the heel for the first time since 1990.

Booyaka, booyaka. The Air Jordan 3 “Mexico” aka “El Vuelo” features a slew of thoughtful details inspired by Lucha Libre masks. These release in Mexico on September 6th before arriving globally on September 20th.

The Travis Scott x Fragment Design x Air Jordan 1 Low OG was first seen on the feet of Hiroshi Fujiwara at an NBA game in Japan in 2022. Now three years later, it can finally be yours (with some luck from the sneaker gods). Expect a release to occur on September 20th.

The second Air Jordan 40 colorway to hit shelves is the “Dusty Rose” on September 20th, complete with a patent leather upper and soothing monochrome colorway to boot. Pure class.

The month of September closes with another grail from the Jordan archives. The Jordan 5 “Tokyo” debuted in 2011 to celebrate the opening of the Jordan Tokyo 23 store in Japan. The key difference this time around is a small yellow hit on the bottom of the toe.
