Paris Fashion Week always makes for a busy, busy topic on our front page, but if we were to issue superlatives post-France, Nike might come away with the title of most head-turning. Beyond kicks like the Squair Force 1, Air Max 90 “Low Poly,” or Air Max 97 Laceless, we caught wind of upcoming reinterpretations of sportswear classics, like the Air Bakin Low that new signee Jae Tips is reportedly set to take for a spin.

On the home front, Nike designer Frank Cooker has himself developed a habit of previewing the weird and wonderful designs coming out of the Nike factory. He was the author of first looks at the First Sight Shadow and confirmed the comeback of the Total Foamposite Max (or Tim Duncan Foams, to a certain sector of the fanbase). Rather than an earnest bring-back, the erstwhile Jordan employee now showcases more experimentation on Bruce Kilgore’s design, with shots of a hairy orange Air Force 1 Low.

Though our heads go to the puppet aisle, “stealing the looks” of a Henson or Kermit design, in truth this falls into the lineage of the Nike Air Force 1 Low “Savage Beast,” comparable in palette and materiality, though the pair at hand grows out its locks a bit further than the ’09 colorway.

Accompanied by some chest-out messaging from Mr. Cooker, sadly, any release info didn’t come alongside. Broadly speaking, you can expect the Nike Air Force 1 in this hairy orange colorway to be on the way in late 2026/early to mid-2027.
