Bringing in first-time collaborators Beaverton’s orbit has been a major plotline over the past few years. More specifically, both Jordan Brand and Nike have looked to the African continent for new partners, recently flaring up with the Free the Youth Air Jordan 16 and no doubt a factor in the Homecoming x Nike Air Max Plus. For their next act, Nike turns to Streetsouk, now revealing a croc-skin Air Force 1 Low collab.
That two-pack of AMP colorways is particularly noteworthy in the context of this shoe. Much the same as Nike sought out Homecoming as a representation of local culture, with Grace Ladoja’s enterprise going on a decade in Lagos, the Swoosh evidently has similar aims with the Streetsouk x Air Force 1 Low. There’s further connective tissue than just the story of these two collabs; Streetsouk and founder Iretidayo Zaccheaus have been the fashion curators of Our Homecoming for years now.
The last iteration of StreetSouk already teased concrete ties between them and Nike, with a SNKRS feature flexing Beaverton’s on-the-ground presence there. Now becoming even more ironclad, the relationship births the Air Force 1 featured here. A two-tone split between lime and pure white plays out across the silhouette, with heavy applications of croc textures aligning with the playful lizard co-branding elements running across the rear.
The Streetsouk x Nike Air Force 1 Low is expected to release sometime in the Holiday 2026 window. Given that 2026’s event takes place in September, an in-person drop there seems all but guaranteed, though details on a wide release are currently unconfirmed.
