Andre Drummond is officially a New York Knick, and while plenty of fans are celebrating the big man’s arrival, his partners at Stria Sport have just as much reason to be excited, the brand’s Creative Director now operating under basketball’s brightest media and commercial spotlight. Stria Sport’s first major headline of the Drummond Knicks era comes with an assist from 3D-printed footwear manufacturer Zellerfeld, the two brands teaming up on an all-new recovery slide called the Surge.

Those familiar with Zellerfeld through its work with Nike and other brands will recognize the manufacturing process. The Surge is produced as one continuous structure without traditional molds, adhesives, or separately assembled components. Layers of flowing, wave-like lines shape the upper, while the footbed is engineered to compress underfoot, rebound to its original form, distribute pressure evenly, and promote airflow.

“As an athlete, recovery matters just as much as performance,” says Drummond. “I wanted to create something I’d actually reach for every day, not just because it looks different, but because it feels different. The Surge delivers that. Once you put it on, you immediately understand why this is the future.”

The Stria Sport Surge Slide releases Thursday, July 16th exclusively via StriaSport.com. A retail price has not yet been announced, though most Zellerfeld footwear lands around the $100+ mark. See detailed images of all the available colorways below.
