Nike Caitlin 1 “Halloween” JA4290-001

Caitlin Clark’s first signature sneaker continues to check off all the boxes ahead of its global launch on October 1st. A new “what’s in your bag” clip posted via Nike socials affords us a first look at a never-before-seen Caitlin 1 “Halloween” colorway featuring glow-in-the-dark soles, the first ever Caitlin Clark Halloween shoes.

Clark actually doesn’t discuss the shoe at all in the clip, only saying that shutting the lights might get it to glow. There’s little to go on as it pertains to any specific theme, though the teaser does show a black colorway with glow-in-the-dark outsoles. Additionally, the “CC” branding on the sides, made from layered Swooshes, takes on the same supposed glow-in-the-dark finish. Nike’s official color specs read “Black/Black/Ghost Green/Mint Foam/Racer Blue,” for reference.

While a signature line can switch up its design language at any time, a debut shoe’s first pass through the holiday months can often be an indicator of what’s to come. We can’t say we’re surprised by how Nike’s handling the Caitlin 1 in that regard, matching its owner’s fun-loving personality with special styles of the playful variety.
