The Nike Mind 002 Flyknit Unearths “Sanddrift”

There are unquestionably many sneaker aficionados who haven’t gotten the chance to test out the Nike Mind’s tech for themselves by now as near-instant sell-outs continue well past the half year mark. However, we’d like to pause for a moment and wonder “what’s next?” Surely the Mind doesn’t end with 001 and 002, yet it’d be anyone’s guess as to how an 003 or an 004 would tackle bringing new forms to the franchise.

All things considered, this is why we leave the designing to the designers, as at the outset of the 002 sneaker, we certainly wouldn’t have guessed that Flyknit was in store. Initially debuted by Hiroshi Fujiwara of Fragment, this lighter take on the silhouette has quickly become part and parcel of the series’ ongoing plans, now revealing a a monochromatic “Sanddrift” colorway en route for Fall. Beyond the pale beige uppers and midsoles, the Mind continues its core color-blocking by pinning contrasting brown in the pods underfoot.

The Nike Mind 002 Flyknit in this “Sanddrift” colorway is on the way for Fall 2026, placing its release sometime before September. The standard $145 retail price should be in tow once it touches down.
