The “Pearlized” movement marches ahead in its third year. What Satoshi Nakomoto helped bring into Vans’ catalog has now become a runaway train, making similar aesthetics a staple of the Vans catalog and vaulting them into the “hype” conversation anew. During Paris Fashion Week, the brand flexed how the charmed motif would remain a major focus, yet still push forward into new territory; the Vans Old Skool “Yacht Club Pearlized” is the next part of that plan.
While the title we’ve assigned to this colorway isn’t an official one, it’s hard not to think of 2018’s nautical theme. This 2026 revival hems entirely faithful to the blocking of that predecessor. Both the Slip-On and Old Skool were rather hard to keep on shelves during that period, coming as the downswing of the brand’s last “golden age” began. Nonetheless, this next “Pearlized” edition of course features gem treatments through the SideStripes, heels, and toes, but the expressive palette makes this the most animated variant we’ve seen to date. Primary colors handle the midline, tongue, and rear suede before green and white handle the sidewalls.
Retailers have listed the Vans Old Skool “Yacht Club Pearlized” for release on September 10th. Grade school sizing (pictured below) is confirmed for $110. Adult pairs will likely clock in at $130.
