Long-teased and long-anticipated, we’re finally staring down the Patta x Nike Air Max 90 “Waves,” gaining momentum with increasingly available in-hand imagery, and now, a concrete date to circle on our calendars.

Though Patta’s history with the Air Max family stretches back to the late aughts, the full court press for their Air Max 1 series means that those six colorways now make up the bulk of their collaborative catalog with Nike. Given that overall volume, it’s only fitting that they bring their modern hallmark to another iconic silhouette, reformatting the straightened mudguards of the Air Max 90 with the reverberating waves pattern that marked the shoe’s predecessor.

This shoe does include special edition touches like the Patta logo in the window at the rear, silver metallic Swooshes, and slightly tinted midsoles and laces. Yet, the classic atmosphere of the AM90 lives on in the broadest strokes, spinning off of the timeless “Infrared” for these two “Cyber” and “Sapphire” colorways.

Again, the Patta x Nike Air Max 90 SP “Waves” is confirmed for a June 23rd release date via SNKRS, but an initial launch via Patta may come a bit earlier. Regardless of what channel you pursue your pair through, expect a $150 retail price.
