Jordan Trunner O/S “Light Orewood Brown” IB3722-101

Despite not carrying the Retro legacy, the launch of the Jordan Trunner O/S is one of the Jumpman releases we’re paying the closest attention to, seeing Mike’s imprint wade into the suede runner world for the very first time. Even before the model hits the market in earnest, we’re sure that the feeling is mutual within the halls in Beaverton; they’ve leveraged some of their most high-profile signees to debut looks, bringing us to five before the shoe even touches down. Scratch that — make it six, as a “Light Orewood Brown” variation of the Jordan Trunner O/S steps up.

Decked out in a familiar blend of mesh and suede in its uppers, there’s really no close comparison within the current Jordan arsenal to the silhouette at hand. Pull-tabs appear on the heel to enhance the utilitarian atmosphere, and on top of some pre-aged touches with heavy cream tones used on this pair, some Y@K appeal sneaks in with a silvery swatch at the heel.

We simply can’t exit this article without noting the New Balance similarities here. As the silhouette dawned with early first look shots, many classed it with the New Balance 992, and this grey-dominant look only makes the comparisons more cogent. No doubt the heel cage makes the Jumpman’s entrant stand apart from its peers, but the inspiration from an already well-established source is clear all the same.

Regardless, a far lower price tag and the same aesthetics should set the Jordan Trunner O/S “Light Orewood Brown” up for success upon release. Retail is set at $115 upon arrival.
