Thailand’s footwear market is rapidly growing, and Carnival, a homegrown chain founded in 2010, has grown right alongside it, recently cracking into the mainstream sneaker scene through a string of collabs with ASICS. With that growth has come expansion, with Carnival tapping into the global rise of run clubs by forming its own Carnival Running line about a year ago. Now that, too, has caught our attention with a collab, this time with Saucony on the Endorphin Speed 5 silhouette.
The sneaker draws inspiration from the transition between daylight and nightfall, executed in a clay-like, monochrome “Dusk Terra” colorway. Silver, split-up “Carnival” text runs across the toes, matched by silver Saucony logos and additional co-branding on the insoles.
Designed for race day and high-performance runs, the Endorphin Speed 5 features an engineered mesh upper and a full-length semi-rigid nylon plate sandwiched between two layers of responsive PWRRUN PB foam. It also incorporates SPEEDROLL technology, a midsole geometry designed to propel runners forward.
The Carnival Running x Saucony Endorphin Speed 5 “Dusk Terra” drops globally on April 22nd via the Carnival app and carnivalbkk.com. Retail is set at 6,290 THB, which translates to about $200.
