There’s a real sense of renewal and excitement around Vans right now, with the brand stacking hit after hit a la the “Souvenir” Old Skools, Satoshi Nakamoto collabs, “Pearlized” releases to name a few notable. There have been indeed plenty of wins worth celebrating, and hopefully plenty more ahead, but today’s headline marks a return to an older success story, as Justin Saunders’ JJJJound imprint appears set to revive its Half Cab pack from last year.
Surfacing on the Montreal design studio’s website, the drop appears to feature the same black and burgundy suede colorways that released last spring. Both pairs are built with less padding than your average Half Cab, positioning them more as lifestyle shoes than realistic skate options. Off-white tongues, laces, and midsoles complete each colorway, while the standard Half Cab tag is reimagined as a debossed stamp on the collar.
The JJJJound x Vans Half Cab pack drops May 19th exclusively via Vans, likely at the same $120 price point as last year’s release.
