We haven’t done an official tally, but we can confidently say that this year’s World Cup has resulted in more soccer-rooted footwear collaborations than any other, some from unlikely places. Stone Island, the resident “bad boy” luxury brand of England and beyond, got in on the action last year with a New Balance collab on the Furon Elite FG V8 silhouette, the label’s second project on that boot line following a V7 for the 2022 World Cup. But they’re not done there.
Stone Island and New Balance are circling back with yet another soccer capsule, likely consisting of cleats, apparel, and other gear. Stone Island’s teaser assets at the very least confirm a cleat and co-branded soccer ball.
