Anyone interested in hoops shoes in our readership will know that Ja Morant has earned a seat at the table when it comes to “most reliable leakers.” It seems that as soon as a sample makes it into his hands, he’s got no qualms with sharing that with the world; something that’s given us far-ahead looks at colorways for his Ja 3 and confirmation of what the upcoming Ja 4 will hold.
Sticking with the middle of the country, Deion Sanders is easily #12’s counterpart on the gridiron. Business remains booming in the world of Deion Sanders shoes, now building out three retro silhouettes that’ve revisited their original looks and spun off into novel territory. His revitalized series has been just as successful in performance as it has been in lifestyle; consumers have been able to grab his Diamond Turf 93 as a cleated version and its modern successor in the Diamond Turf 2.
That more recent development looms large over today’s news: a slew of colorways with the Sanders seal of approval. Clearly the pride and joy of this gallery is a patent leather pair that aligns with his Colorado Buffaloes, carving out space for University Gold on the quarter window and in the front spikes. Yet literally sliding behind this colorway, there’s plenty more to behold. To our eye, there’s a Diamond Turf 2 that’s close to the “Royals” version but breaks with red pull tabs and pure white uppers. The original Diamond Turf also presents a rosy white/pink and a slick black and camo.
Given the CU brand on the back of the Diamond Turf 2 cleat, there’s a high likelihood that said pair will be exclusive to the Buffaloes. We could see public releases for some of the other previewed fare; we’ll keep you in the loop via this page and our Sneaker Release Dates page.
