Nike Ja 3 “Warning Label/All-Star” IB6507-400

by thesneakerscroll@gmail.com

“Restoring the energy” is a fight that never stops. We’ve spilled plenty of ink on the Nike Basketball All-Star collections of old. At least based on initial public reactions, the team in Beaverton might be on the precipice of minting a new set of modern classics with the “Warning Label” editions, now adding the equally fan-favorite Ja 3 into its ranks.

Like its already-revealed partners, the Nike Ja 3 “Warning Label” comes with a Foamposite-like metallic finish, spread across a resplendent blue upper that recasts the usual triangular branding hits into something closer to pronounced gems. Breaking a bit from those aforementioned siblings, it’s not an entirely monochrome script for #12’s counterpart; a black Swoosh is the piece that most clearly breaks up a tonal atmosphere, but there’s a slight purple tint to the sole unit and a clear neutral lean in the collar and laces. Though the “Warning Label 26” moniker is clear on the insoles and attached explanatory hangtags, we notably don’t see the associated lace charm or the packaging for this pair.

We’d be remiss to exit this article without mentioning some of the lingering questions with the Ja 3 regarding the “Warning Label” festivities. Official images of the Swarovski Ja 3 revealed that it carried the same briefcase packaging, and multiple additional SKUs are listed at retailers for the collection’s drop date of February 13th.

Of course, as that juncture nears, we’ll gain more clarity on exactly what’s in the works for the LA showcase. For now, expect this pair to land on 02/13. Catch detailed images of what’s presumed to be the premier offering from Mr. Morant below.
