Nike, Inc. loves a one-off series. Yes, it also loves repeat appearances across multiple seasons, with the upcoming Jordan 4 “Toro” a representative of multi-silhouette aesthetics and the Jordan 5 “White Metallic” demonstrative of their willingness to flip, reverse, and twist OG editions.
But on a more lowkey level, general release sneakers like the Jordan 1 Mid and Jordan 1 Low offer low-maitenance canvases with which to explore trending themes. Already the Jordan 1 Mid issued a punk-rock, charm-laden edition that notched metal geometry into the Swoosh. Almost certainly of a piece for its shared color codes, the Jordan 1 Low now fires back by swapping out its eyelets for a floral, starry, and teardrop metal outlines. Nylon overlays and cracked leather towards the heel help solidify this grungy edition.
