New Balance continues to fire on all cylinders. As we’ve noted on countless occasions before, the new silhouettes just keep coming out of Boston: 5030, 1890, Gator Run, P400, P350, and that’s just this year. Between full novelty and fresh looks for old mainstays, the company’s hybrid division or otherwise tinkerings are just as populous, and we’re catching wind of what could be one of their most notable developments to date.
Pictured here is a mash-up model, obviously carrying the overall shape and contours of the 9060, a shoe that’s become a face of their resurgence. Though the sole unit sticks around with its triangular sections and the exposed CR bar, the upper shifts its composition. To our eye, the New Balance 993 looms large over this new construction, especially with the underpinning leather overlay and the new suede mudguard that stretches from the quarter to the toe.
Further details on when to expect this New Balance 9060/993 edition are unclear, but we expect this light grey/lavender colorway to be among the debut colorways if a sustained market run for the model is in the works. While we await more info, catch a first look image below and watch our Sneaker Release Dates page for more.
