Bronx designer Jae Tips is taking his colorful design language into audio for the first time with Skullcandy. The Savior Worldwide founder has reworked the Skullcandy Crusher ANC 2, bringing his New York-rooted style to a limited headphone release.
The Jae Tips x Skullcandy Crusher ANC 2 launches May 19, 2026 through a special pop-up at the Chelsea Best Buy in Manhattan, located at 60 W 23rd St. The event runs from 5 PM to 8 PM, followed by a limited online release May 20 on Skullcandy.com.
Jae Tips built the design around the translucent tech era of the late ’90s and early 2000s. The headphones feature a transparent emerald shell, giving the Crusher ANC 2 a throwback look tied to old computers, gaming consoles, and see-through electronics from that period.
Colorful buttons add another gaming reference, pulling from the feel of classic Nintendo 64 controllers. His signature floral details also appear across the headphones, connecting the project back to the design language seen in his past work with Saucony, New Era, and G-SHOCK.
Skullcandy keeps the tech side intact with Crusher multi-sensory bass and adjustable noise cancellation. That matters here because the collaboration is not only built around nostalgia and visuals. It still uses the main features that define the Crusher ANC 2 line.
Special packaging continues the retro gaming theme with a Super Mario Bros.-inspired presentation. For collectors, that detail gives the release a stronger story beyond the headphones themselves.
The Jae Tips x Skullcandy Crusher ANC 2 gives Skullcandy a lifestyle-driven collaboration while letting Jae Tips expand beyond footwear, headwear, and watches.
