Much as well-timed retros and modified models may excite us in the realm of women’s footwear, Nike has demonstrated that they’re not content with using the same old playbook in tapping into the female demographic. No, a shoe like the Air Max Muse demonstrates that the full weight of their innovation lab is pledged to the effort. Earlier in 2026, the brand only upped the ante, rolling out the red carpet for a new product family: the Nike “First Sight” umbrella.
Our interest remains piqued for later inductees like the First Sight the Clogposite-like First Sight Shadow and the First Sight Mirage, an uncanny mesh sneaker with spikes of cushioning underfoot. Yet it’s been the First Sight Noir that’s led the charge, trickling into the catalog over the past few months and getting consumers accustomed to its half-wedge, half-runner construction.
All four of the colorways we’ve seen before this have lived in a rather simplistic color blocking universe, where a darkened sole unit meets solid uppers in white, green, brown, and of course, black. This “Bright Crimson” colorway inverts that precedent, pinning infrared on the sole to help highlight the stacked heel that makes this shoe a perfect entrant into the women’s sportstyle lane.
Like most general release fare from the Swoosh, the Nike First Sight Noir “Bright Crimson” doesn’t have a hard and fast release date at this time. Instead, expect this pair dropping as part of the Summer 2026 slate, retailing for $120.
