Nike Mercurial Vapor 17 and Superfly 11 Release Date

Ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, Nike is reinventing its Mercurial line. Inspired by different forms of velocity, Nike has two new cleats in the Mercurial Vapor 17 and Nike Mercurial Superfly 11. Both will launch worldwide June 1st on Nike.com before dropping in stores at select retailers on June 4th.

Designed for players who excel in tight spaces, Nike touts the Vapor 17 as the lightest Mercurial they’ve made yet. An Atomknit upper and slim FlyLite plate combine to keep players light and low to the ground. Overall, the combination promises speed for quick cuts, close ball control and quick transitions.

The Nike Mercurial Superfly 11 puts more emphasis on getting upfield speed. Rather than trying to mimic Vapor feel, this iteration uses an external Zoom Air unit in the forefoot to help with responsiveness as players dart into open spaces. A FlyWeave Ultra upper keeps things contained while allowing free-range movement during sprints.

Each duo lands in vibrant pink-inspired designs with black Swoosh accents, allowing for a loud on-field identity heading into next summer’s World Cup stage. The Vapor 17 adopts a sleeker low-cut design while the Superfly 11 maintains the Mercurial’s signature speed-oriented silhouette with enhanced structure near the collar.

Nike Football designer James Molyneux used the concept of speed not being a single entity to frame this update. Some players get away with pace through quick footwork in traffic. Others need those longer stretches to blow by opponents once they have the space. Nike is clearly giving both types of speedsters their own lane with this new Mercurial release.

Nike Mercurial Vapor 17 and Nike Mercurial Superfly 11 drops online June 1st. Selected retailers will receive pairs on June 4th. Now that the 2026 FIFA World Cup is right around the corner, Nike is obviously preparing to amplify their presence with Mercurial.
