The latest collaboration attached to the 2026 FIFA World Cup comes from an unexpected source, or at least it reads that way without the right context. Hot on the heels of a Kith x adidas capsule tied to Lionel Messi is a brand new Argentina collection by none other than Thrasher Magazine, a callback to the magazine’s roots and throughline to today’s leadership.
Thrasher Magazine was co-founded in 1981 by Fausto Vitello, who fled from Argentina to San Francisco with his family in the mid-1950s to escape the political terror of the Revolución Libertadora. Following Fausto’s passing in 2006, ownership passed to his son Tony, a skater in his own right whose Instagram page shows him pulling off plenty of grind tricks in Argentina shirts.

Alongside a range of Argentina-inspired apparel and accessories is the adidas Glenburn, a new retro-inspired skate shoe introduced earlier this year. Black leather and suede form the bulk of the upper, with most of the paneling featuring chalked baby blue edges to align with the Argentina kit. The heel is probably the most important area, featuring three gold stars symbolizing Argentina’s three World Cup wins and the Thrasher logo just below. The Argentina crest appears on the tongue tag, complemented by blue hits on the inner tongue and insoles.
The Thrasher x adidas Glenburn “Argentina” releases June 1st, 2026 via the adidas website. See official images below if you’re looking to cop.
