Vans continues to expand its Old Skool 36 “Souvenir” series, and the latest pair keeps things more understated with a black-based colorway.
The collection originally gained attention through its “Warm Brown” release, a design tied to an archival Chanel-inspired look. Since then, Vans has started building the theme into a wider lineup, adding more color options while keeping the same vintage details intact.
This upcoming Vans Old Skool 36 “Souvenir” switches from the brighter pairs we’ve seen recently and leans into a darker, easier-to-wear palette. The shoe keeps the signature boucle Sidestripe, aged-style sole, and charm details along the side panels. Those elements have become the main identifiers of the “Souvenir” series, giving each pair a dressed-up feel without moving too far from the classic Old Skool shape.
The black colorway now joins several expected styles, including “Oatmeal”, “Orange”, and “Navy”. While only the “Warm Brown” and “Burgundy” pairs have released so far, the number of upcoming options shows that Vans may be turning this concept into a larger seasonal story.
There is always a risk of overdoing a popular idea too quickly, especially when several colorways surface in a short window. Still, the black Vans Old Skool 36 “Souvenir” feels like one of the more wearable versions from the group.
