First Look At Lil’ Yachty’s Nike Air Force 1 Mid Space Hippie

by thesneakerscroll@gmail.com

Lil Yachty’s next Nike collaboration is taking an unexpected turn. After establishing the Air Force 1 Low as the foundation of his growing partnership with Nike, the artist is now turning his attention to the Air Force 1 Mid for the first time as newly surfaced images reveal a collaboration that not only expands Yachty’s Swoosh catalog, but also revives one of Nike’s most ambitious sustainability-focused design initiatives from recent memory.

At first glance, the shoe immediately stands apart from previous Concrete Boys projects. Rather than relying on traditional leather construction, the upper utilizes a recycled textile material recognizable to longtime Nike followers. The speckled grey fabric first gained prominence through the Space Hippie program, a sustainability-driven collection launched in 2020 that transformed manufacturing waste into footwear. The material later appeared on a number of additional Nike models before gradually fading from the spotlight.

In addition to the recycled textile upper, the Air Force 1 Mid also features a speckled foam midsole reminiscent of the tooling used throughout the Space Hippie line. The combination creates a distinct aesthetic that seems like it’s an official extension of that initiative, although that remains to be seen.

Concrete Boys branding appears on the heel, while “IT’S US” is stamped prominently on the tongue, reinforcing the collaborative identity that has become central to Yachty’s Nike projects.

Release information hasn’t been shared yet, but take a look at these first leaks below.
