The Air Jordan 6 Low “Metamorphosis” will be released on September 16, 2027. Launching exclusively in women’s sizes, this new colorway features Black, Desert Berry, and Metallic Silver.
Jordan Brand will celebrate the 35th Anniversary of the Air Jordan 6 in 2026, which means we will see many releases. Some will come as collaborations, while a few others will be original colorways. However, we will also see the Air Jordan 6 Low return to retailers. Although the low-top version isn’t a fan favorite, some people enjoy it, depending on the colorway.
Expanding on the low-top lineup, we have the “Metamorphosis” Air Jordan 6 Low. This pair will be a women’s exclusive, debuting in Fall 2026.
Although the inspiration for this Air Jordan 6 Low is unknown, due to the nickname, it could have a caterpillar-to-butterfly theme. Metamorphosis, typically associated with insects and amphibians, refers to the process of transformation from an immature form to an adult form in two or more stages. Also, the simple color blocking could be associated with butterflies.
The shoes are dressed in Black, Desert Berry, and Metallic Silver. Highlighted with Black nubuck across the base, Desert Berry with an iridescent finish lands on the overlays. The same shade appears on the Jumpman on the tongue, while Metallic Silver appears on part of the mostly Black glossy midsole. The look is completed with a Dark Blue translucent outsole.
