Bad Bunny’s adidas Badbo 1.0 “Puerto Rican Night” Releases September 26th

Bad Bunny and adidas have advanced their highly successful partnership with the introduction of the adidas Badbo 1.1, the Puerto Rican star’s second signature shoe (though technically a spin on the first) featuring slight, tasteful transformations. But that doesn’t mean the Badbo 1.0 is gone from the stage, at least for now. Now on the adidas calendar for a September 26th release is the adidas Badbo 1.0 “Puerto Rican Night” aka “Night Navy” previewed earlier this summer, already beginning to pop up on select retailer release calendars.

adidas packaged the “Puerto Rican Night” 1.0s with the adidas Badbo 1.1 “Chalk White” in seeding kits sent out to media to illustrate the differences between the two models, highlighting the latter’s shorter height and various paneling tweaks. The “Puerto Rican Night” continues a series of homages tying back to Bad Bunny’s home island, a constant throughout his adidas tenure that’s only grown more prevalent as the partnership has produced more product in need of names and storytelling.

Light blue nylon peeks through the triangular side window cutouts, framed by indigo suede and then a more saturated royal suede panel. Bad Bunny’s signature zig-zag stitching motif appears per usual on the tongue, while stitched six-point stars inspired by the Puerto Rican flag land on the heel. The laces and midsole are done up in beige, while a navy outsole caps off the look underfoot.

The Bad Bunny adidas Badbo 1.0 “Puerto Rican Night” drops September 26th via adidas and select retailers, priced at $160. Check out official retailer images below if you’ll be going for a pair.
