Miami-based sneaker boutique SoleFly has confirmed that an Air Jordan 4 collaboration is in the works, with co-founder Daniel Hidalgo revealing the project while responding to an Instagram post celebrating the Miami Hurricanes’ reported return to Nike.
The Miami Hurricanes and the Swoosh are connecting again, ending the program’s partnership with adidas. The reported new 10-year partnership with Nike begins in July 2027, reuniting the Hurricanes with the Swoosh after more than a decade with its chief competitor, and the deal should naturally produce a new generation of Nike and Jordan player-exclusive footwear for Miami athletes.

No images of the Air Jordan 4 have surfaced, and Hidalgo offered no additional details regarding its design or release beyond a simple “soon” response. It’s also unclear whether the collaboration is scheduled for 2026 or 2027.
SoleFly already has considerable history connecting Jordan Brand with its hometown, often going the cultural storytelling route unique to the area such as the Air Jordan 12 “Cafecito” that honored a long-standing morning tradition and coffee culture among the Latin community. That hasn’t stopped them from going very Hurricanes-centric with their vision, and it can be argued that their straightforward orange-and-green color scheme on the Air Jordan 1 (2018) and Air Jordan 3 (2025) were arguably their best.
It’s unclear what the SoleFly x Air Jordan 4 will look like and there is no concrete indication that the shoe is Hurricanes-themed or officially connected to the university, but Miami’s return to Nike certainly opens the door for a collaboration that could potentially become something larger than a standard sneaker release.
For now, the biggest news is also the only thing we can confirm: a SoleFly x Air Jordan 4 is coming, so stay tuned.
