There’s a fine line between between commitment to a theme and being a one-trick-pony. Navigating that gap is a game that sneaker fans are well familiar with; sometimes, Concepts’ “Lobster” series remains a hot ticket item throughout its run. Others find out the hard way that sticking to what works can mean diminishing returns if not push you into the red.
Regardless of your approach, just a few small changes or injections of new energy can keep things fresh. So we’ll state up top that yes, this is another collection from the Cecilie Bahnsen ASICS machine built on floral motifs, but you’re kidding yourself if you think the series is blending together in the slightest. Having brought her signature flora-focused touch to the GEL-NYC, GT-2160, GEL-Kayano 20, GEL-Terrain, and GEL-Cumulus 16 with shrouds, charms, straps, and embedded embellishments, it’s a new model and a new application to kick off 2026.
The Copenhagen designer takes on the ASICS GEL-Quantum 360, radically changing up the silhouette by pinning a new no-sew Mary Jane upper onto its accordion-like sole unit. Seemingly taking inspiration from outdoorswear with an elastic nylon bootie entrance, The true standout touch is a rounded flower cut out to create the Mary Jane function, its conceptuality bolsters by additional cutesy charms throughout the quarter and toe. An all-pink edition is a natural fit given all of that, but a blacked-out counterpart allows the glossy synthetic trim of this build to truly stand out.
The Cecilie Bahnsen x ASICS GEL-Quantum 360 is confirmed to release on April 18th via the designer’s site and in-store at their Copenhagen boutique. A wider ASICS launch hasn’t been announced just yet, but we’ll keep our ear to the streets and keep you posted via this page.
