One of the AE 1’s strongest themes is carrying over to Anthony Edwards’ next adidas signature shoe. The adidas Anthony Edwards 2 “Georgia Red Clay” is expected to release in Summer 2026 for $130 via adidas, bringing his home-state theme onto a new model.
Georgia’s red clay gives this pair its base idea, with the shoe dressed in a pinkish-red shade that leans close to the color of the region’s iron-rich soil. Salmon-colored TPU panels wrap the sides, giving the AE 2 a sharper shape than the first “Georgia Red Clay” release. The fang-like overlays do a lot of the work here, especially against the textured upper.
The AE 2 version feels more aggressive without needing much extra storytelling. adidas keeps the theme focused on color and shape, using the low-cut build and molded side frame to push the design closer to a modern performance look. It still connects clearly to Edwards’ Georgia roots, but the execution feels tied to the new silhouette instead of copied over from the AE 1.
Select EU retailers have already started listing pairs, with June 1st showing overseas. A wider global launch is currently expected later in Summer 2026 through adidas.com and select retailers.
The adidas Anthony Edwards 2 “Georgia Red Clay” gives adidas Basketball a familiar theme to help introduce Ant’s second signature run. At $130, it should be one of the early AE 2 colorways worth watching as release details continue to roll out.
