The Pegasus Premium is getting a tougher SP update, with two colorways expected to release soon for $220 USD.
The shoe still sits on the same sculpted Pegasus Premium cushioning setup, and the outsole appears unchanged from the standard version. That keeps it tied to road running, even with the added rugged details up top.
The biggest change is the new mudguard wrapping the upper. It gives the Nike Pegasus Premium SP a more protective look and pushes the silhouette closer to the kind of all-weather styling Nike has used on Roam-style models. Still, this does not look like a full trail conversion. It is more of a technical visual shift than a complete change in purpose.
Nike also goes heavy on contrast for this SP lineup. One pair splits the design with a white lower half and black upper, while another flips the blocking the other way. The simple black-and-white setup feels sharper than a normal inline Pegasus release and gives the model a more abstract edge.
This is not listed as a collaboration based on the current details, but the comparison makes sense from a design standpoint.
The Nike Pegasus Premium SP brings a more rugged personality to one of Nike Running’s most futuristic models without fully leaving its road-running base behind. Expect the two colorways to release soon at $220 USD each.
