To properly appreciate the “Brazil” Jordan 3, you have to understand the larger collection it leads. Jordan Brand and the Brazilian Football Federation have formed a first-of-its-kind partnership built on a shared standard of greatness, bringing together one of the biggest names in footwear with the country that owns more World Cup titles than any other. For the first time ever, a World Cup jersey will bear the Jumpman emblem, appearing on an all-new Brazil Away kit inspired by Brazil’s fastest predators.

That same concept informs this Air Jordan 3. Racer Blue and Blue Void leather handle most of the upper, while Varsity Maize takes over the midsole. Lucky Green appears on the Nike Air branding and upper eyestay, the former surrounded by paint splatter, while a stitched mini Swoosh lands on the lateral side. We’re still scratching our heads over the tongue and collar, which arrive in a pink shade notably absent from the Brazil Away kit. Finishing touches include a circle of five stars on the left inner tongue nodding to Brazil’s five World Cup wins, while “Brazil” text appears on the right.
